Blue Chip financial institution seeks skilled Technical Manager. Their head office in the Johannesburg CBD is an impressive estate consisting of several towers.
You will be required to perform full engineering and maintenance services in line with the overall Facilities Management and group real estate strategies and budget. You will provide technical and managerial expertise pertaining to the maintenance and operation of the building structure, finishes and engineering services to ensure reliable and safe continuous operation thereof.
All of this to be done in accordance with statutory requirements and regulations in the buildings under your control. Your key responsibilities will be to ensure you keep up-to-date methods of preventative maintenance programmes, oversee quality of work done by maintenance contractors, ensure maintenance contracts are in place for all servicing under your control, regular inspections on maintenance contractors and monitor need for upgrades/ replacement and motivate and budget for them.
This role is suitable for someone who is a self-starter who is proactive, can communicate well with contractors and be confident in analysis, problem solving and decision making. A national Diploma/ Degree in Engineering, Installation/ Wireman’s licence are a must.
Heating and Ventilation experience also essential. Project Management qualification will be an advantage. A minimum of 7 years working experience in building related engineering services in a large commercial environment and exposure to project environments will secure.
