The first and only concept store of its kind on the African continent opened its doors on 10 August.  Hyprop has five iStores in South Africa situated at Woodlands, Clearwater, Somerset Mall and The Glen.

The newly imagined home for all-things Apple will offer customers while-you-wait repairs for iPhone and other products. The refreshed iStore is three times larger than its predecessor and includes a lounge area, product and accessory showcase area, a separate training room, technical support and setup desk.

Hyprop CEO Morné Wilken says: “The completion and the successful opening of the iStore at Canal Walk is another important step in improving the shopper experience and our tenant mix and aligns with our focus on creating environments and opportunities for people to connect and have authentic and meaningful experiences.”

Besides its daily product training, iStore Canal Walk offers an expanded series of informative and inspirational events, training and workshops with an array of industry experts from music, art, illustration, design, video, coding, photography, health and fitness, education and business.

Wilken says:” We are finding exciting new ways of working with innovative brands to create the type of experiences and attractions that our customers want.”

The updated iStore along with planned renovations to the foodcourt will further enhance our customers’ experience in the mall. These attractions are expected to entice new customers and ensure that the group’s portfolio remains ahead of the curve.
