EDPF launches property platform to break barriers for a million first-time owners, with e4 sponsorship.

The EDPF Property Academy (EDPF), with financial sponsorship from digital solutions company e4, has launched a powerful new online platform designed to transform South Africa’s property ownership patterns by enabling one million title deeds.

The platform, developed by EDPF founder Nigel Adriaanse, brings together 27 years of property sector expertise, nine years of development work, and four years of sponsorship support from e4. Its purpose: to dismantle the four biggest barriers preventing aspiring property owners and developers from entering the market - knowledge, support, market access and finance.

“E4’s financial sponsorship over the last four years has enabled us to expand our reach - from the first iteration of our online academy to this new platform,” says Adriaanse. “Now, anyone can access the tools, resources, and networks they need to start their property journey, for just R150 a month.”

A comprehensive property toolkit

The platform features an interactive dashboard, structured training courses, professional service connections, funding options from 37 institutions, profitability calculators, legal templates, and an AI-powered property mentor trained on Adriaanse’s extensive industry knowledge. Members also gain access to a community forum, regular property insights, and practical resources - from feasibility studies to town planning support.

For first-time buyers, the platform includes a dedicated masterclass and step-by-step guidance on securing a first property - whether a family home, investment unit, or student accommodation.

Sponsorship Supporting Transformation

Since 2021, e4 has sponsored elements of technical development, equipment, and programme delivery for EDPF’s programmes, enabling the organisation to reach aspiring property owners across the country. Earlier this year, e4 confirmed that its sponsorship will continue for the next two years.

“The property sector has historically been one of the hardest to access for those excluded under apartheid,” says Adriaanse. “Our mission is to change the landscape of property ownership in South Africa. This platform is a major step forward, and this work has been supported through e4’s commitment to transformation.”

An ambitious vision

Through initiatives like #1MillionTitleDeeds, Adriaanse aims to use the platform to help a million South Africans secure ownership - building generational wealth and stimulating local economies.
