Redefine Properties has been recognised as a Top Employer in South Africa by The Top Employers Institute, for its exceptional employee offerings for the second time in a row.

The Top Employers Institute globally certifies excellence in the conditions that employers create for their people. The annual research recognises leading employers around the world - those that provide excellent employee conditions, nurture and develop talent throughout all levels of the organisation, and which strive to continuously optimise employment practices.

"Redefine is the only listed SA REIT who has been certified as a Top Employer 2017 in the certified group. We are extremely proud of this achievement as it reflects the kind of work culture and environment that we have at Redefine and hope to continue to build on for future years," says Andrew Konig, Redefine's Chief Executive Officer.

"The certification not only helps us to benchmark our people practices and policies as an organisation but also talks to our human talent strategy. It remains our passionate commitment and business imperative to empower our own."

Samantha Crous, Regional Director Africa for the Top Employers Institute says, "Our comprehensive research concluded that Redefine Properties Limited provides an outstanding employment environment and offers a wide range of employee engagement initiatives, from employee benefits and working conditions, to performance-management programmes that are well thought out and truly aligned with the culture of their company."

"Optimal employee conditions ensure that people can develop themselves personally and professionally. This environment deepens employee engagement and serves to encourage our key strategic differentiators (our people) to be the best version of who they can be."

"We're not landlords. We're people", is not just a slogan but the brand's architecture around which we build our engagement with employees, tenants, partners, suppliers and the communities we work in," adds Konig.
