Appointing a South African development professional to oversee their business interests \\\'in country\\\' is a model which has served them well elsewhere.
Whilst this could be duplicated in Tbilisi, they are also open to considering other candidates who have a good cultural fit with the Head Office in South Africa Working from their partners\\\' offices, the initial role envisaged would be to take full control of any issues arising from brownfield and greenfield developments, negotiations regarding land purchases, leasing, feasibility studies, appointment and management of professionals as well as project delivery. A substantial pipeline is already in place which includes a mixed use development over 70,000sm GLA as well as a significant new mall.
This role would suit someone looking to take on board a 5 year \\\'delivery\\\' contract, but it could also be a career maker, as a permanent presence will most certainly be required in Georgia. The successful development manager could go on to the be appointed Country Manager where duties extend to overall Asset Management. To be considered for this role you will have enjoyed experience on conceptualising, packaging and delivering retail projects from start to finish.
Whilst additional high-rise exposure would be ideal, retail experience is absolutely essential. Senior Development Managers with international experience would be well suited to this position. Construction related Degree is essential. Ideal start would be 2014, but candidate suitability and availability will dictate this.
