Our client is one of South Africa’s leading independent providers of student accommodation outside of the Universities itself.  Due to their nature of business, they require an on site Fire technician to manage the functionality of all fire panels equipped in their Johannesburg and Pretoria buildings. 

The suitable candidate would need 3-4 years experience in working with fire panels or fire fighting. Knowledge of standard fire fighting practices, methods and procedures, medical practices and CPR will secure.  You will be required to have the necessary skill and accreditation to work on fire panels; these buildings have both addressable and conventional panels and would require someone to travel to each of the regions twice a year to ensure compliance. 

You will need to know what the fire requirements would be, based on the buildings having been signed off by the fire chief. Equivalent to two years of college or trade apprenticeship and/or specialized training in suppression/rescue or administrative functions in needed.
