Who the job reports to:
Operations Manager
Aim of the position:
To conduct all building maintenance inspections at the Centre, asses status and ensure that MPS maintenance standards are adhered to at all times. Assist with project management , SLA implantation and reporting in order to minimize risks and breakdowns.
Core Job Description and Responsibilities
- Attends to preventative Building maintenance & executes Call Centre queries and any reactive maintenance.
- Compiling and successful execution of 5 year maintenance plan.
- Conducts periodic Due diligence inspections on centre assets, assesses problems & needs and implements improvements, and ensures SLA’s are put in place to prevent re occurrences.
- Budgeting & control of expenses in consultation with the Operations Manager
- Ensuring OHS ACT specifications compliance
- Management of all mechanical fire equipment & sprinkler.
- Management and control of all maintenance personnel
- On-site contractor supervision
- Implementation of SLA’s for all Maintenance contracts & services.
- Technical equipment management & supervision in line with professionals.
- Tenant liaison on maintenance issues
- Conducting take back and take on inspections
- Preparation of maintenance scope of works & compilation of tenders relating to same.
- Stock Management and control.
- Assists with the Practical co-ordination / sign off of tenant installations.
- Assists with the various Capital project management and monitoring of the impact the MDP will have on Centre Maintenance and contractors.
- Detailed reporting on Assets / Maintenance and execution of Maintenance plan.
- Responds to Emergency call outs
- Updates and manages maintenance risk.
- Work hand in hand with Operations Manager on Energy & water efficiencies and the management thereof.
- Staff performance coaching, development and appraisals
- 2 IC to the Operations Manager in his absence.

- High level of accuracy and decision making
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Matric certificate
- Minimum 3 years experience in Facility Management
- Qualification in building management or related field
