International restaurant is expanding into Africa. Our client is a vibrant global business focusing on increasing their footprint through  East, West and Central Africa.  A vacancy exists in the Real Estate Team for a Development Manager to work with existing franchisee\'s to ensure that the right sites are identified for new outlets, and that the resulting projects are delivered on time and to budget.

Building a strong relationship with your master franchisee\'s is essential in order to convince them of the accuracy of the market planning data which your internal team will produce. You will also need to spend a good amount of time travelling in the region to assist in gathering accurate information about local conditions for market planning to assess.

Working with your internal design team, you will oversee the building projects, by assisting the franchisee\'s project manager in understanding the challenges of the processes involved in timeous project delivery. This includes establishing a reliable network of local suppliers and contractors, and understanding the internal operations and procurement process in order to utilise it optimally.

Expect regular travel into Africa. This role would suit someone who has worked in emerging markets, and who has proven capabilities of working independently to create world class building projects. Exposure to lease negotiations and/or land buying will also be necessary.
