They competed in OMIGPI’s inaugural Retail Revolution awards against retailers operating in 25 categories in centres across South Africa.
Menlyn Park produced the top-performing store in the competition, Deonne le Roux Jewellers, and the store rated the top newcomer, Istore Menlyn. The centre also produced national category winners in Timberland (men’s wear); Naartjie Clothing (children’s wear); Sneakers(unisex wear); Istore Menlyn (audiovisual, electronics and leisure); Deonne le Roux (jewellery); Food Chain (design and visual merchandise); African Diamonds (improved

The national awards were also contested by retailers from Bayside Shopping Centre, Tableview, Cape Town; Cavendish Square and Cavendish Connect, Cape Town; Cascades Shopping Centre, Pietermaritzburg; Gateway Theatre of Shopping, Umhlanga; Menlyn Retail Park, Pretoria; Riverside Mall, Nelspruit; The Zone @ Rosebank, Johannesburg; and Vincent Park Shopping Centre, East London.
Collectively, the centres attract more than 100 million shopper visits a year.
