PROPERTY investors will have the opportunity to bid for a variety of investment opportunities at Aucor’s multiproperty auction at Gallagher Estate on July 17.
During the past decade SA’s investment property market has proved to be capable of remarkable returns, says Paul Winterstein of Aucor.
“With 2010 just a stone's throw away, attending this auction will be of particular interest for those looking to invest in the large portfolio of exclusive, impressive investments, as well as development opportunities.”
An RCI-affiliated 10-chalet resort with conference facilities, hiking trails, 4x4 routes, theme bar, and a lapa-fringed bush rock pool, is on offer at the coming sale.
The property, the Waterberg Mountain Lodge, in Modimolle, previously Nylstroom, is on a bushveld holding of 173ha.
“Investing in resorts is extremely profitable as investors can use the property for their own leisure, as well as get a great return on their investment for the time that they’re not there,” says Winterstein.
Aucor will also sell a private nature reserve in Bela Bela, previously Warmbaths, at the same auction.
The private game reserve is close to the town’s cheetah reserve.
This 814ha fully fenced plot offers potential buyers views of the Limpopo bushveld.
The reserve has ample game and comes complete with a borehole.
“Property has proven itself over the past years to be an excellent investment, beating inflation time and time again,” Winterstein says.
Along with the leisure and recreational properties on offer, there are a number of development sites and a factory warehouse in the Johannesburg central business district.
Investors interested in urban properties will be able to bid for prime development properties, such as a double residential lot in Pomona, near the OR Tambo International Airport.
The double lot is zoned for residential development and has 30 erfs of more than 1540m² in size approved and portioned off on one of the properties, and a further 15 properties of more than 7600m² approved and portioned off on the other property
Several other desirable investment properties will come under the hammer at Aucor’s property sale to be held at Gallagher Estate, in Midrand, from 10.30am next Thursday.
These will also include river fronted development land in Meyerton and service station premises in Vosloorus.
Office space, a block of flats in Benoni, affordable housing development land in Zandspruit, and several apartment and commercial options in Johannesburg’s central business district are also on offer.
