In a joint venture with Tysocon Properties, a strategically located convenience shopping centre known as Thornhill Shopping Centre is starting to take form just off the Duiwelskloof Rd

Construction of the R130 million centre commenced in February and completion is expected in March 2009.  "This 8 500m² retail space is situated on prime land,” says Cobus van Heerden of Atterbury Property.

The centre is located on the corner of Veldspaat and the Duiwelskloof Rd, close to the R71 that will become the route for the N1 diversion.  "The area known as Bendor, is the fastest growing and most sought after in Polokwane."

The upmarket shopping centre will boast a collection of 30 stores in the food, service and family restaurant line.  The relaxed, village style ambience exudes a homely, familiar environment with ample parking.  Natural stone brickwork and unique classic architecture will blend with the unpretentious surrounds.

“We were determined to develop a centre where people feel relaxed and at home,” says Andre Lombard, Tysocon Properties.  “It is essential for the centre to provide quick, convenient and effortless shopping.”

The anchor tenant at Thornhill Shopping Centre will be Super Spar which will be an added attraction for residents from the neighbouring residential developments.
