It has recently opened its 41st and 42nd hotels with a total investment of R59 million in the 118 room Road Lodge Centurion and the 90-room Road Lodge Richards Bay.
Road Lodge Centurion is the biggest Road Lodge yet and cost R33 million. The hotel opened its first rooms last week.
Road Lodge Richards Bay, the group’s fourth hotel in KwaZulu Natal, opened its first rooms at the beginning of this month. It was developed at a cost of R26 million.
Construction of the 90-room Road Lodge Potchefstroom and the 204-room Town Lodge Port Elizabeth is expected to begin before the end of June.
The group has entered into a land and building lease agreement for a 120-room Road Lodge within the Gateway shopping precinct in Umhlanga. City Lodge says it is not yet clear when this development will begin as regulatory approvals are being sought.
