Construction started in February this year on this R43 million shopping centre situated in the Somerset West Triangle

The centre, which borders De Beers Avenue, has House & Home as an anchor tenant and there are 17 other shops catering for the décor market. These tenants include Eagle Lighting, Hospitality Direct, Compact Living, Hive Home and The Bed shop amongst others.

The centre promises to be a welcome addition to the already well established retail node and with Mr Price Home within close proximity this area is developing into a one stop destination for all your interior décor needs.

According to Alan le Roux of ALR Property Ventures, who is co-ordinating the development for a group of private investors, the 4800m² development is still on track for an opening date in November 2007. “NMC are the main contractors on the project and have done a sterling job to date despite the heavy rainy season we have experienced,” says Le Roux.

According to Jacques Theron of Omnicron Commercial, the centre is currently 92% let and there are only three shops available of which one presents an exciting opportunity for a trendy coffee shop.
