The National Ports Authority (NPA), a division of Transnet Ltd, in collaboration with Ethekwini Municipality, is finalizing a feasibility study for the development of the Yacht Basin and Craft Harbour Precincts within the Victoria Embankment waterfront district in the Port of Durban, and is preparing for a possible tender phase in which private parties may be invited to bid for the development opportunity.
In order for the NPA and the Municipality to determine what scale and type of market appetite there is for this development, prospective developers are invited to register their interest by completing registration forms and submitting them to the NPA by 23 January 2007.
This invitation for registration of interest is not a tender. Failure to register interest will not preclude any party from submitting a bid in a subsequent tender phase. The NPA and the Ethekwini Municipality will not be liable for any costs incurred by any interested party in the preparation or submission of a registration of interest.
An invitation memorandum, background documentation and registration forms can be downloaded from www.npa.co.za.
