Construction group Group Five (GRF) is to acquire Quarry Cats from Cobblers Limited for 750 million rand.
 
Quarry Cats is involved in the supply of construction materials and crushing services to the construction and mining industries.
 
Group Five said Quarry Cats complemented the group's expansion and growth strategy in the infrastructure sector and that the acquisition would also assist in mitigating the risk of future materials shortages with respect to key building and infrastructure projects undertaken in the group's Gauteng market.
