Transaction concluded for prime located restaurant on cape town's foreshore

Having last year (2005) acquired the then Vacca Matta restaurant on Cape
Town's Foreshore through Pam Golding Commercial's (PGC) restaurant broking
division, the Singer group, which owns a number of hotels and restaurants,
gutted the restaurant and let it stand until this year.  The restaurant is
situated within The Spearhead building which houses the headquarters of the
Spearhead Property Group.

Keith Evans, who concluded the R100 000 transaction and who heads up PGC's
restaurant broking division, says the Singer Group waited until Protea North
Wharf was near completion, and then built Subarshi - the new restaurant - on
the site of the former Vacca Matta restaurant - which is on the Loop Street
side of the building. "It's a prime location, with the Holiday Inn, Cullinan
Hotel and Protea Hotels all within just 60 metres," says Evans.

"Best described as an Asian Fusion restaurant, Subarshi combines funky,
healthy and innovative sushi and Asian creations with a strong Vietnamese
flavour.  One of the Subarshi partners, JP Clark, says the choice of the
location at The Spearhead is rooted in their confidence in the growth and
prospects of the redevelopment and regeneration of the Cape Town Foreshore.
Moreover, parking is available on site, which is vital for a city
restaurant," he says.

Subarshi is the latest restaurant venture by the Singer Group, owners of the
hugely successful Blowfish restaurant at the Dolphin Beach Hotel in
Blouberg. Already Subarshi is buzzing during lunchtimes since the corporate
crowd has discovered the superb sushi and Asian cuisine, and during late
afternoon, it's a popular venue to unwind over a cocktail before enjoying a
delicious dinner in pleasant, upmarket surroundings.
