The R50 million refurbishment project at Pinetown's Sanlam Centre is now complete.

Mr Johann Boshoff, of Gensec Property Services, the property management company for Sanlam, said the revamp was aimed at making the centre more accessible and user friendly. To this end two lifts and an additional set of escalators accessing the centre from roof level have been installed.

'The new interior fixtures have also brought the centre on par with other centres in the area,' he said.

Other features of the major revamp included the opening of new stores such as Catwalk, City Girl, Sheet Street, Identity and Mugg and Bean.

'We have gone a step further in improving the effectiveness of the security by employing a new security company and upgrading the existing CCTV cameras,' he said.
