Plans for a R36 million residential development in Margate - the third undertaken by Inframax Developments in the area in recent months - are at an advanced stage.

The latest project, The Regency, will be built on two levels and comprise 18 luxury units, each with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, according to Paul Mulder, projects director of Inframax in KwaZulu-Natal.

They are expected to sell for between R1.7 million and R2.3 million each. "The units will be among the most upmarket and exclusive on the South Coast," said Mulder.

"We believe the South Coast is rapidly gaining in popularity. We have the impression the whole of the secluded precinct close to the beach will become a prime residential area."
