SOTHEBY'S International Realty (operated by Lew Geffen) has trebled its number of agents in only eight months.
Barak Geffen, executive director, said: "We received the master licence for Sotheby's International Realty in June last year. At that date, we had around 150 agents in Johannesburg with five branches, which have now converted to franchises.
"We now currently have around 400 to 450 agents, meaning that we have almost tripled our agent complement in just eight months." Sotheby's International Realty has opened franchises in 17 defined territories in the major metropolitan territories including prime residential areas throughout South Africa.
In the next three months they will have franchises in 30 territories across the country.
Geffen notes that Sotheby's International Realty provides the most comprehensive and advanced training in the industry and their franchise offering includes a full service turn-key solution, as well as a 22-year-old infrastructure making the network particularly attractive in the industry.
Sotheby's International Realty will shortly open offices in the City Bowl and CBD, Sea Point, Mouille Point, Table View, Blouberg, Somerset West, and an office covering Muizenberg/ Simon's Town/ Fish Hoek/ Gordon's Bay/ Noordhoek and Kommetjie
