Land sales promoted

A GENERAL shortage of vacant land in traditional industrial areas together with the sustained positive performance of the Western Cape economy has seen the first 22 of 47 sites in the recently launched Atlas Gardens snapped up in record time, says Broll Property Group's Guy Spargo.

Located on Contermanskloof Road off Tyger Valley Road and with clear visibility of the N7 highway above Killarney Gardens, this development brings together the best of two worlds, says Spargo.

"The feeling of space and clean air is exhilarating and yet you're only minutes from other industrial nodes in the area."

The sites on offer start at R230 per square metre - a significant discount compared to other industrial areas - and range in size from 800m2 to 5 600m2. Emphasis has been placed on preserving the country ambience of the 20 hectare estate.

An extensive green belt and natural lake precinct has been earmarked to retain the eco-friendly nature of the site. Broad design guidelines will be implemented in order to preserve a consistent look and feel throughout the development.

Civil construction has begun and transfer of sold properties is expected to take place from July. Atlas Gardens, formerly known as the old Corobrick site, is owned by Omnicron Projects.
