It is essential that candidates are literate and able to take instruction in English. The training will be at a Level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework. Training will take place in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg.

The duration of the training is expected to be two consecutive days, followed sometime later by a third day. Some extra mural project work will be required. The cost of this will come from Services SETA Discretionary funds.

The Services SETA’s expectations, on completion of the training, are that companies and the industry will have certified assessors who will be able to do the following;

2. Understand the functions and responsibilities of the assessor.
3. Interpret a standard that is relevant to the industry

6. Plan an assessment
7. Develop a basic performance assessment tool
8. Make a judgement based upon the evidence presented
9. Develop relevant reports to meet SAQA, SETA and candidate requirements
10. Give candidate feedback on the judgement

Preference will be given to candidates from stakeholder companies who have submitted Letters of Intent to be workplace providers for this learnership.
