SAPOA Online, the commercial property website, has launched The Property Investor investment hub, an online resource to make commercial and listed property investments accessible to a broader set of investors.

Sapoa CEO Neil , stems from renewed interest from investors in property as an asset class. Frank Reardon of Sapoa Online says the property investment outlook has been improved over the past couple of years by a number of factors such as a volatile and declining equities market and good returns from property investments.

He says that one of the sector's responses to this new "window of opportunity" has been a move from directly held assets into listed property vehicles in an effort to attract broader investment in the sector. Buoyed by the success of the Sapoa Online property portal and a positive outlook for property investments, The Property Investor will provide investors with a set of online tools to demystify commercial property as an asset class and introduce potential property investors to the world of commercial property, says Reardon.

"The Property Investor mission will be to create an online marketplace bringing together investors and other stakeholders in the commercial and listed property sectors.

"Critical to the success of the initiative will be educating investors and providing them with the resources and tools to make commercial property investment decisions, and providing a platform for those who service the property investment market to interact with these potential investors," he says.
