Mace and MMQS announce exit from joint venture in South Africa.

Mace, the global delivery consultant and construction expert, and MMQS, a cost engineering and construction economist consultancy, have exited their joint venture in South Africa.

The move marks the end of a partnership that began in 2013 and was formalised in 2016 with the creation of MMQSMace. Under the partnership, MMQSMace leveraged Mace’s international expertise and MMQS’ local knowledge to deliver projects across South Africa.

The exit of the joint venture allows MMQS to pursue opportunities as an independent entity and aligns with its long-term vision of delivering premium, complex and high-impact projects for its clients across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.

Mace will continue to focus on pursuing key growth and innovation opportunities in South Africa and the wider region across a range of sectors including infrastructure, residential, health, pharma, and data centres, while continuing to support local communities.

Additionally, the two companies have agreed to explore opportunities to collaborate on selected projects in the future.
