The three-day event, which will bring together the most influential national and international property professionals under one roof, will be held at Sun City, North West Province, from 3-5 June 2020.
SAPOA Chief Executive Officer, Neil Gopal, says he is delighted to have Mbanjwa on board as MC of the Convention, having facilitated panel discussions at previous property and business conferences globally. “Mbanjwa’s dynamic and distinctive style has made her a unique and sough-after figure in the field of broadcasting.” he says.
The theme of the 2020 Convention is #Tomorrow. About the theme, Gopal says the past year has been challenging on many fronts and that this has had a knock-on effect on the property industry.
“The industry has felt the effects at an alarming rate in the form of a weakening economy, decreasing investor confidence, rising municipal costs, water and electricity crises, high tenant vacancies.” But, even in the face of such challenges, hope continues to spring eternal in the heart of South Africans who are determined turn the situation around and do the work required to turn our tomorrow around.
“The industry looks to leaders for answers on what is in store for the property sector, exploring the opportunities, disruptors and technology heading our way.” The Convention programme addresses these and other issues to ensure that the sector continues to inspire further development and productivity through achieving specific outcomes.
SAPOA will select thought-provoking local and international speakers to share their expertise and knowledge.
With the eagerly awaited enhancements that this year’s annual event brings, the social and networking combination of the convention is an important aspect of the Convention and there will be a massive hub of activity.
The three-day event will include with the awards evening & themed convention dinner, where property professionals within the fields of journalism and the built environment will be recognised for their noteworthy contribution in enhancing the commercial and industrial property industry.
