Tshwane Regional Mall Is Inevitable

The company hosted a site walkabout to showcase this majestic development meant to transform the lives of the people of Mamelodi.

Ms Nthabiseng Makobe, Development manager of Isibonelo, addressed the tenants and prospects to paint a picture of how TRM will be making use of a profitable and captive market. She stated that “the intermodal area accommodates three taxi ranks with 66 routes, buses that not only travel in and around Pretoria but also travel from Mpumalanga to transports over 4 000 people”. The mall truly has a large catchment area which is not only limited to Mamelodi.

Tshwane Regional Mall has been anticipated by the community and has been a delight to the community of Mamelodi to see the 60 000 square metre development unfold right before their eyes. 2015, the Premier of Gauteng classified Tshwane Regional Mall as pioneer project for creation of Mamelodi CBD.

It’s no surprise as the development is part of the township transport hub. Integrating taxis, buses and train within the flow of the retail system, TRM is one of its kind, strategically placed in a prime location. The mall is located along Tsamaya road at the historic intermodal hub, Denneboom station which is the getaway of Mamelodi and has been in existence for more than 30 years. The hub has been home to numerous informal traders and three taxi ranks which catered for areas within Mamelodi, Pretoria central & Pretoria eastern suburbs including long distance areas in Mpumalanga and Limpopo.

Denneboom has always been the most prominent and preferred transport hub. The hub has over 220 000 commuters moving through it on a daily basis. 120 000 people use the train, approximately 40 000 private vehicles pass the hub during peak hours, about 25 000 people using buses and 772 700 people that use taxis every month.

It’s no wonder that Isibonelo Property Services took hold of this opportunity to not only give the community of Mamelodi the much needed retail offering but also to ensure that they can easily access the mall, receiving great convenience.

To ensure that the people’s mobility is still intact while ensuring footfall within the retail development. TRM forms part of the plans by the City to create Solomon Mahlangu Precinct. With most of the construction done, TRM system will include high quality, integrated transport hub to have the people of Mamelodi experience shopping, living and working conveniently.
