The magic begins on 15 December when Entrance 5 will be transformed into an unforgettable festive movie house with special screenings throughout the day until late. Shoppers are invited to gather with family, friends, and the little ones to enjoy a selection of holiday film favourites including Home Alone, The Grinch that Stole Christmas, Polar Express, While you were Sleeping, Miracle on 34th Street, Arthur Christmas, The Santa Claus, Elf, and A Christmas Story.

Ensuring that the festive movie screenings are even more fun and relaxing than a trip to an ordinary cinema, Heidelberg Mall is laying out the red carpet with ample comfy seating and the opportunity to enjoy an indoor picnic, takeaway, or even just a fresh cup of coffee from one of Heidelberg Mall’s delectable restaurants. As all movie screenings are safely indoors, the weather won’t put a damper on the festive cheer.

Fun-filled kids’ activities will also take place in the Mugg & Bean court and throughout the centre from 15 to 24 December where children can create their very own festive wonders to take home. Memorable Christmas characters will also make special appearances to hand out gifts and surprises to kiddie shoppers.

Santa is looking forward to spending time with shoppers in the Woolworths court for holiday season photos from 15 December until Christmas Eve. Photos will be printed on site and can be taken home immediately to enjoy.

To help add the finishing touch to the perfect gift, Heidelberg Mall will host a handy gift wrapping station. For a minimum donation of R10, shoppers will have the opportunity to give back and help raise funds for the Iba-Umngani organisation to assist abandoned children and vulnerable mothers. And of course, to walk away with beautifully wrapped gifts!

Adding the cherry on top of a fabulous line-up of great entertainment, magic movies and memorable moments, gifted musicians Ryan Walt and Chris Harper will be on hand to add to the spirit of the season in the Woolworths court on 16 and 18 December, respectively.
