The RE/MAX property group says it has had exceptional franchise growth in 2003, expanding its operation by 14 new offices in the first half of the year and taking the total number of offices over the 100 mark, with 1 100 agents. Another eight franchises are under negotiation. This follows the addition of 25 new franchises in 2002, indicating that the number of office openings is proceeding at roughly double the pace of last year and reflecting the growth rate of the group as a whole. Thus far this year new franchises have been established in Wilderness, Witbank, Bronkhorstspruit, Scottburgh, Richards Bay, Carltonville, Uitenhage, Gansbaai, Kenton-on-sea, Hartebeespoort Dam, La Lucia, Salt Rock, Bothasig and Walmer.
