Delta Property Fund appoints Shaneel Maharaj as Chief Financial Officer

Delta Property Fund announced the appointment of Shaneel Maharaj as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 1 December 2015.

Shaneel holds a B Com (Hons), B Com (Acc) as well as an H.Dip Tax and Advanced Certificate in Auditing. He is seasoned CA (SA) with more than 15 years’ work experience, mostly in a listed company environment.

He will join Delta from Cargo Carriers Limited where he spent the last six years as Chief Financial Officer, assuming a strategic role in the overall management of the Group and its subsidiary companies within South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to being promoted to Chief Financial Officer, Shaneel was the Group Financial Manager of Cargo Carriers for three years. He completed his articles with Deloitte & Touche in 2001 after which he started his career with Imperial Fleet Services, followed by Cargo Carriers.
