33 Telkom properties up for auction in September 2015

In September, GoIndustry DoveBid South Africa (Pty) Ltd will dispose of 33 Telkom properties around Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape and Western Cape, in a series of online and live auctions.

“This will be our 12th auction of Telkom properties country wide. All the previous auctions succeeded way beyond our expectations, with a 95 percent sell-through rate for the online auctions and 100 percent success rate for all the live ballroom and on-site auctions. The combined sales value is fast approaching the R400 million mark,” says Kim Faclier, Managing Director: Property for GoIndustry Dovebid South Africa (Pty) Ltd.

Some recent highlight sales include the live auction of 1021 South Coast Road, Mobeni, Durban which sold for R141 million and a large industrial property in Braamfontein, Gauteng which sold on-line for R31 million.

16 properties will be sold on-line, closing at 3pm on the 10th September.

In a live auction on September 16, GoIndustry Dovebid will offer for sale 9 Eastern Cape properties: The auction will take place at noon at the Boardwalk Hotel, Marine Drive, Port Elizabeth.

These include:

  • A commercial property in Cradock’s central business node with improvements of about 2 206m² on a 3 222m² site, accessible via Adderley or Frere street.
  • An exclusive industrial property in Wilsonia with 3 119m² of improvements on a 19 493m² site, situated along Mdantsane Access Road.
  • A large industrial property, Port Elizabeth with improvements of 21 068m² on at 48 684m² site on the corner of Gibaud and Neil Boss Road, in Mount Road.

In a second live auction on September 17, Go-Dove will knock down 11 properties situated in Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, North West and Gauteng. This auction will take place at noon at The Venue in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg, again at 12 o’clock

Properties for sale include:

  • A prime industrial property with 16 335m² of improvements on a 59 352m² site in Church Street, Hamilton in the Bloemfontein
  • A 10 storey building in Jeppe Street, Johannesburg with improvements of 50 300m² on a 9 666m² site.

On Tuesday, 22nd September, a prime industrial property comprising of 22 814m2  with improvements of 1671m2 on the corner of Koeberg Road and School Street, Milnerton, Cape Town will be sold at Crystal Towers Hotel, Century City. This live auction will take place at 12 o’clock.
