MORE than 2000 property professionals have signed up for the SA Property Transfer Guide, the webbased application which provides subscribers with information from the Deeds Office regarding all property sales in SA.

The guide was developed by Knowledge Factory, the customer insight company in the Primedia group.

The system targets estate agents, valuators, financial institutions and property developers. Its main aim is to supply estate agents with credible information for their clients.

"The guide is helping to improve the standards of the real estate market. It provides agents with an easily accessible solution that has current and historical deeds information. This allows them to value property accurately and obtain pricing trends," says Duane Butler, manager of property products for the Knowledge Factory.

Subscribers get monthly updates on selected areas or at national level.

The website features a search option, called computer-assisted valuation, which supplies detailed information about a property when it is identified by the physical address. Its location is graphically represented on a detailed map. Closest amenities and their distance from the property are also shown. The database provides details about the 20 closest properties transferred, and their values.
