Dr Bridgette Gasa started off her career as an architectural designer for practices in KwaZulu Natal and Port Elizabeth respectively.

Bridgette Gasa is Founder and Managing Director of The Elilox Group, Pty Ltd whose service offering includes Programme and Project Management Consulting, Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Enterprises.

She holds a PhD in Construction Management with NMMU. She is the Chartered Institute of Building's (CIOB) Past-President for the Africa Region. She serves on a number of Boards and is a recipient of prestigious awards inclusive of: Department of Science & Technology Award for a Leading Woman Scientist in Industry, 2008 and an award for being Africa's Most Influential Woman in Business in the category: Basic Industries, 2013.

Gasa was appointed by the President of South Africa as a National Planning Commissioner in 2010.
