
The net asset value per unit increased by 9.2% to R17.74 per unit from R16.24 previously‚ the fund said. The intrinsic value return of 13.8% per annum since inception compared to inflation of 6.2% per annum‚ it said.
Looking ahead‚ the fund said it would continue to increase the income-earning potential of the existing properties in the direct property portfolio and increase its focus on evaluating acquisitions and developments that met the required quality criteria.
It said global investments would continue to provide diversification benefits to investors and would remain a unique characteristic of the fund. The counter was untraded on Thursday from a close of R16 on Wednesday‚ a record high.
