Cell C head office mixed use development at the Waterfall Business Estate is one of the most ambitious commercial development of its kind being undertaken in South Africa at present.
The 46 000 square metre building will have a customer walk-in centre, data/IT centre, conference centres and a warehouse to hold the company's shipments and stock.
Leading SA property fund Atterbury Investment Holdings (AIH) is the major investor in Waterfall Business Estate, with an 80% stake, 20% of which is owned by Atterbury Property Development.
Atterbury Property Developments have secured the commercial development rights for the 330ha land with Cell C to take occupation at the end of 2013 on a 15 year lease. "We're currently spread all over the place," says Cell C CEO Alan Knott-Craig. "Everything will now be in one building. There'll be nothing on the campus you can't do."
The Waterfall Business Estate is a mixed commercial development with a total size of 1.6 million square meters. It is said that the development of Waterfall Business Estate will be market-driven, and roll out over the next 14 years with a total value that is well over R25 billion.
Waterfall business Park will be home to many different businesses such as the Altech group who are set to take occupation of a 4 200m² office building in the Woodmead area. A further 30 000m² and 8 000m² distribution will be used for Walmart Massbuild and warehouse space for Digistics.
With only a few months to go, Cell C is creating a buzz with hopes of great success and easier access to all of their services.
