A leading property investor and developer in South Africa and beyond, Atterbury has designed the park to provide 103,000sqm of modern business space in big box logistics warehouses as well as showrooms and offices.

It has chosen a prime position for this development in South Africa’s economic hub, Gauteng, and within a major established and growing node.

“Atterbury is pleased to introduce CooperVision to Randport Industrial Park where its new premises will incorporate strategic benefits that unlock efficiencies and value that support its business goals. We are thrilled to develop CooperVision’s new facility and position it confidently for the future. We look forward to a long and strong relationship with this great business,” says Atterbury development manager Arno du Plessis.

Du Plessis also confirms that Atterbury’s transaction with CooperVision will trigger the start of the first phase of the business-unit scheme within the development and its associated infrastructure. Construction is expected to begin as early as July 2018.

The development is already zoned and serviced, and the business park is ready to cater for industrial facilities of up to 70,000sqm.

The business units at Randport will be developed in two-phases. Each phase comprises a large building – 9,500sqm in the first phase and 6,000sqm for the second - that is flexible enough for a single-tenant or multiple-units ranging from 650sqm up to 6,000sqm. CooperVision will take 2,400sqm of space for offices and warehouse, which is set to be ready for their occupation on 1 July 2019.

Randport Industrial Park is designed to provide a secure environment for its users.

Superbly located for logistics, Atterbury’s R850 million Randport Industrial Park is on the Elandsfontein interchange. CooperVision will benefit from Randport Industrial Park’s location at a strategic transport confluence, which links Gauteng to the rest of the country, the region and the world, by road, rail and air. As well as its excellent access from the N3 highway, it also is easily accessible from the N12, N17 and even the M2 highways.

The development will be undertaken by Atterbury Property Developments. The roll out of Randport Industrial park will be market driven.
