Strengthening Village View's significance to its shoppers and building on its strong trading record, The Cavaleros Group is giving the stylish Village View shopping centre in Bedfordview a R20 million makeover.

Growing to meet customer demand, Woolworths at Village View is expanding. This is one of many exciting changes on the cards for shoppers of this chic Bedfordview community centre.

The new bigger, better, fresher Woolworths at Village View will be over 1,500sqm when it opens and will give shoppers even more to chose from.

Elsabe Griesel, portfolio manager for Village View owners The Cavaleros Group, explains that recent research revealed the Woolworths is Village View shoppers' favourite store. "The Woolworths expansion responds to the specific shopping and lifestyle needs of Village View shoppers and is a catalyst for several further important changes."

Strengthening Village View's significance to its shoppers and building on its strong trading record, The Cavaleros Group is giving the stylish Village View shopping centre in Bedfordview a R20 million makeover.

Over 1,500sqm of the centre is being refurbished, including reconfiguration of space of almost 600sqm to help meet the demand for retail space at the centre. The project also introduces some exciting new retail concepts to this trend-setting centre.

Locals will soon be able to enjoy an exciting new workout programme with Sweat 1000. This fitness innovation opens on 1 February 2012 in the 284sqm shop 17 in Village View's centre court. Charming bakery Vovo Telo recently joined Village View's handpicked retailer mix. Shoppers can also expect two new restaurants at this dining hot-spot.

Two retailers will relocate to new positions in the mall. Both moving to the southern wing of the centre, Baliwood will trade from Shop 9 and Granny Goose from Shop 10.

Other innovative movements include Steers and Nandos, which have both reopened in new locations in a vibrant zone for fast food created with Village View's new design. Other exciting changes include moving CNA to a more suitable position next to Clicks.

"We continually seek new and original ways to enhance the entire Village View experience and bring our stylish shoppers more of what they enjoy the most," says Griesel.

Attracted by the convenience of its central location and easy access, with generous parking, as well as 40 hand-selected retailers, it's a little wonder that Village View's popularity continues to grow. Over 91% of Village View's shoppers visit this unique community convenience centre every week.

Now, Village View customers will have even more reason to shop and dine here.

"Extending Woolworths, reconfiguring the centre and introducing new attractions all provide greater retail variety and heighten the overall Village View shopping experience for its loyal customers," says Griesel.
