The High St Auction Co has announced that its March property auction will be held on 28TH of March at Summer Place in Hyde Park at 12h00 consisting of 21 lots with a combined market value in excess of R150 million

Headlining the auction is a property portfolio consisting of 9 Sasol petrol sites.

Nick Pretorius comments, “This particular cluster of properties is rarely seen on the auction floor. The 9 sites are leased by Sasol and independently operated. The successful bidder is not only buying prime land but properties with solid leases with a leading South African brand in place. This portfolio will be sold as individual lots.”
 
BRITS
Situated in the North West Province, Brits is a large  and emerging town plays an vital role in the SA Mining industry with 94% of South Africa’s platinum comes from the Rustenburg and Brits districts. This property is located in the motor dealership district, and is in close proximity to Ford, Nissan, Kia and Hyandai, as well as to the main arterial  road. This property currently generates a current rental income of approximately R1 million. Sasol has a lease in place until May 2023.
 
IFAFI
Ifafi, is situated alongside Hartbeespoort Dam in the North West Province. It lies in the valley south of the Magiliesberg mountain range and north of the Witwatersberg mountain range, 35 kilometers west of Pretoria.  Located just off the corner of two main artertial roads, the property enjoys good exposure and has an annual rental income of R600 000.00 and a lease until February 2022
 
MIDDELBURG
Middelburg is a large farming and industrial town in Mpumalanga and is conveniently located alongside a main route into the Kruger National Park.  This is a growing town and is home to a large stainless steel plant, Columbus Steel.  This property currently generates a projected rental income of approximately R1 million annually and the lease is in place until the end of 2023.
 
NYLSTROOM
Nylstroom, now known as Modimolle, is located near the southern edge of the Waterberg in the Limpopo Province. PIET RETIEF
Piet Retief is an industrial town situated in the south eastern corner of Mpumalanga and is surrounded by plantations of Blue Gum, Pine and Wattle trees. It is located on the N2, 100 kilometers from neighbouring towns of Vryheid, Pongola and Ermelo.  This property enjoys a prime position on the corner of Nelson Brand and Church streets and generates an annual income of approximately R1.5 million. The lease on this property is in place until February 2030.
 
POLOKWANE
Pietersburg, is a major urban centre, and is known to be the biggest and most important north of Gauteng. The population of this town exceeds 500,000. It is located on the N1 highway which connects Pretoria through to Zimbabwe. There are several major industrial operations in place including a Coca Cola and South African Breweries plant. There is a large shopping district with malls which include Limpopo Mall, Savannah Mall and Mall of the North.  The lease on this property is in place until 2030 and the annual income is currently +/- R1.1 million.
 
STEELPOORT
The global diversified mining group, Xstrata opened the Magareng Chrome Mine in Steelpoort, creating in excess of 2000 direct and 6000 indirect employment positions. It is located on the R555 and Burgersfort is the nearest large town. The lease on this particular property is in place until 2024 and the property generates a current income of R1.15 million annually.
 
VANDERBIJLPARK
Vanderbijl Park occupies an area of 233 km2 and is an industrial city with a population in excess of 80,000. The townships of Boipatong, Bophelong, Sebokeng and Sharpeville are located nearby. Vecor, the largest heavy engineering works in the Southern Hemisphere is also located in vanderbijl Park. The property currently generates a current gross annual income of R420 000 and has a lease in place until 2022.
 
WITBANK
Witbank,  now known as eMalahleni, is situated on the Highveld of Mpumalanga. This city is known for its coal mining in the surrounding region with more than 22 collieries in the municipal radius. There are two national highways, the N4 from Pretoria and the N12 from Johannesburg which converge at Witbank and then continue on to Komatiepoort on the Mozambique border. The population of the town exceeds 61,000. Located on the corner of Voortrekker and OR Tambo Roads, the property generates an annual income of R1.14 million and has a lease in place until August 2022.
