COMMENDING the Cape Argus, Pick 'n Pay and Rotary on the "incredibly efficient" way in which they organise the annual Cycle Tour, Rawson Property Group chairman Bill rawson has said the popular event also has a positive spin-off for real estate.
"We have heard a great deal recently about what the tour does for tourism but, make no mistake, every year it has also had a noticeable effect on property sales.
Both before and after the tour our franchises have always reported an influx of potential out-of-town buyers.
"It is now quite clear that bringing some 20 000 visitors (10 000 entrants and 10 000 of their followers) to Cape Town each year does a magnificent job in making non-Capetonians aware of what we have to offer - and leads directly to property sales," Rawson said.
