Having secured almost R20 million worth of prime OEM stock for their pilot mining and construction online auction, the message is clear – its business unusual.
The portal has been marketed in traditional press as well as through purely digital avenues, and has already commanded serious attention from bidders countrywide, who are looking for immediate access to due diligence reports, images and in depth information. The major draw card for an online auction is the ability for interested parties to bid on the capital assets regardless of their geography.
“Many potential buyers lack the time to fly out to view and participate in an auction, and are therefore limited in choice to what is available locally. It is for this reason that provenance of the assets is critical as well as an ability to register and bid all from their desk or home”, says Ariella Kuper who is the brain child of this latest Auction Alliance online project. The system allows people to view full images and due diligence per asset, register, be FICA'd, pay a registration deposit, receive sms and e-mail notifications if outbid and in turn to re-enter the game.
The stock is all prime OEM equipment from Barlow World, Diesel Power (with whom Alliance handled a R30 million auction last July with stellar results) and a liquidation instruction from Commonwealth Trust. Notable assets include the monstrous Hitachi EH1700 dump truck, a CAT D7 G2 excavator, Hitachi ZX650 and EX 1200 5D excavators, Volvo A35 ADTs and various vehicles including a 2009 Toyota Fortuner and VW Crafter Mobile workshop.
The auction ends Monday 30 January at 15h30 and all interested parties should contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 079 8999 998.
