“Mall of the North is a super-regional shopping centre which is set to bring shoppers a unique and comprehensive offering that has previously been lacking in the province,” notes Patrick Flanagan of Flanagan & Gerard.  “This is evident in our extensive restaurant offering which will cater for every taste and occasion.”

Those with an appetite for fabulous food will welcome the wide array of nationally recognised and leading dining destinations which are set to open at Mall of the North.

Amongst these national restaurants is Ocean Basket, the award-winning seafood restaurant that has become synonymous with fresh seafood, good wine and great value for money.

Another highlight on the dining scene will be the opening of the first Primi Piatti in the province.

Primi restaurants are renowned for their vibrant energy and exciting food offering inspired by Italian tradition but influenced by the cosmopolitan present.  Accessible and attractive, the dynamic brand is set to incorporate a fine, casual comfort dining experience.

Sean Holmes, Primi World Marketing Director says that Mall of the North presented the perfect location for the restaurant.  “Polokwane is at the heart of the Limpopo Province and there is no better place for our Afro-centric Primi brand to engage with this exciting new customer base than in this iconic new regional shopping centre.”

“Our restaurant, cafes and fast food outlets play an essential role in the overall tenant mix of Mall of the North,” says Jannie Moolman of Moolman Group.  “The mall is set to become not only a premier shopping destination, but the meeting place of choice in the province when seeking the best in dining and entertainment.”

Complementing the restaurant offering at Mall of the North is the Ster Kinekor complex which will bring 3D cinema technology to Limpopo cinema goers for the first time.  This will be Ster Kinekor’s biggest, best and most modern cinema complex in the province.

The 2,100sqm, 996 seater cinema complex will feature six state-of-the-art cinemas with full digital sound. One of these cinemas will offer 3D.

“The sheer variety on offer at Mall of the North will cater for residents of Polokwane and Limpopo as well as those beyond our country’s borders,” concludes Johann Kriek of Resilient.  “With its central location and easy access from all areas, Mall of the North is gearing up as the beacon of design excellence, economic growth and premium shopping in the province.”
