The TWG is a volunteer body of industry experts in a diverse range of topics covered by the Green Star SA rating tools, and the group guides the process of tool development by providing input for all credits as well as overall tool focus.  There will be a separate, paid consultant to do the detailed technical development and benchmarking.

To form the Technical Working Group, the GBCSA is seeking industry professionals with the necessary knowledge and experience within the public building market, an understanding of green building issues, and who wish to contribute to the green building movement and development of this important tool for South Africa.

The Green Star SA – Public Building tool will look to cater for public buildings within both the public and private sector (government and privately owned). Whilst the exact list of building types to be covered under this tool are yet to be defined, the tool development is expected to explore the inclusion of entertainment and public assembly buildings, theatrical facilities, places of instruction, places of worship, exhibition halls, museum spaces and places of detention. To ensure complete representation of stakeholders within the public building market, the GBCSA wishes to secure Technical Working Group members from diverse sub-sectors of the public building property and construction sector.  All applications will be considered.
