“The property has several long-term, high-profile tenants and has projected rental return potential of around R3m,” Mr du Toit says.
Scheduled for noon on June 23 at the Midrand Conference Centre, the auction includes other options for investor, such as 10 prime stands in the Mangwanani Game Reserve.
“It’s got all the requisite spoils for luxurious living and its lush location in the beautiful Waterberg — not forgetting that it’s close enough to Pretoria — make it all the more appealing.”
The next day, from 11am at the Riverside Hotel and Spa in Durban, Colliers will hold another auction of business properties.
Among others, investors can expect six sectional title floors at 331 West Street — “in the heart of Durban” — as well as vacant land on Avondale Road in Ballito, recently renovated offices on Umbilo Road, and a historic building known as The Bank Gallery which “has heritage appeal” and is located “plum on Durban’s plush Florida Road”, Colliers says.
Another offering at the Durban auction is a “top health spa” recently “fitted out to the best international standards”. Situated in the Protea Hotel Boulevard, it is not the only property Colliers will sell in Umhlanga’s booming Gateway area.
Also on offer is a shop of 100m² in Palm Boulevard.
“It’s right next to a top hotel and ideal for a tourist- or visitor driven business,” Colliers says.
