The Alliance Group’s Platinum Premium Auction, to be held on 8 December, will see a 900ha game farm located 25km from Bela Bela, Limpopo go under the hammer.

Property-Housing-ResidentialThe farm is located in a savannah vegetation biome on the R101, which runs parallel with the N1 National Highway and is one of the secondary routes between Pretoria and Bela Bela.

The area is known for commercial game and cattle farming and this farm has an average carrying capacity of between 8ha and 10ha required per large stock unit.

The area has red, yellow and grayish soils with high base potential and the terrain type generally consists of level plains with some relief.

The property also includes a rectangular-shaped game farm that is fenced in with a 2.1m high game fence. The main internal road infrastructure comprises properly constructed, well-maintained gravel roads that provide access to the rest of the farm for general maintenance purposes as well as game drives.

There is a four-tower “Agrico” full circle centre pivot irrigation system on the farm that covers 17ha along with four boreholes. Two of the boreholes are equipped with submersible pumps and one is equipped with a mono pump.

There are also a number of water points for animals which are sufficient for both winter and summer supply. Eskom supplies three-phase electricity to the farm.

The farm is functional and generally well kept with development including typical improvements required for game farming. In addition to the agricultural-related improvements there are five dwellings with top quality finishes facing a waterhole.

There is also a farm house, a 333m2 office which is 70% complete, a fodder shed, storeroom and flatlet. In addition there are three newly constructed hunters’ chalets measuring 118m2 each.

“This game farm is well situated and offers well managed grazing. This property is considered ideal for both commercial game farmers and investors alike, especially since the game and equipment on the farm are included,” says Alliance Group’s Petro Hansen.
