Third MD in as many months for Old Mutual's SA Corporate Property Fund

Subject to regulatory approvals, Len van Niekerk has been appointed as managing director of SA Corporate Real Estate Fund Managers Limited, following the resignation of Mariette Warner citing personal reasons

Len has 11 years experience in the property industry. He started as economist and listed property analyst for Standard Bank’s stock broking business. He joined Old Mutual Investment Group as Head of Quoted Property in 2006 overseeing some R5bn in listed property assets. Throughout his career he has been rated as a top property analyst and fund manager.

Furthermore, subject also to the required regulatory approvals being obtained, Colin Young, our Fund Management executive has been appointed as a non-executive director and Mr Sayed Mia and Mr Kevin Roman have been appointed as independent non-executive directors of SA Corporate Fund Managers Limited effective from 26 June 2009. The appointments of Mr Mia and Mr Roman will strengthen the independent representation on the board.

These new director appointments will further enhance the depth of property expertise on the SA Corporate Board.
