One of Johannesburg’s most prominent buildings will be sold by auctioneer Aucor at its next auction at the Inanda Club on 31 March.

Property-Housing-ResidentialThe building, Pentad House, is located in Wynberg, Sandton, just a few hundred metres from Grayston Drive. It is one of the most central locations in the city, with easy access to the M1 highway — north and south — and the centre of Sandton and Rivonia.

The building has blue-chip neighbours, including listed construction company WBHO, Rainbow Construction and the House of Montani. Many of the buildings have recently undergone facelifts, enhancing the value of the area.

“This is an investor’s dream and a once, in-a- lifetime opportunity to buy a solid, revenue-producing property at a realistic price,” says Aucor senior property consultant Ari Ben.

He says the building’s tenants consist of well established organisations which have been renting for more than six years on average and have a perfect record of on-time payment.

Pentad House is attractive and functional, providing for the specialised needs of its tenants. It comprises two levels and a basement with ample parking. An attractive possible alternative source of income is the advertising billboard on the roof. “It is one of the most visible buildings in Gauteng and will attract excellent revenue,” says Ben.

Several other properties will be sold at the auction, including a 110ha ash heap and industrial property with eight factories and workshops near the R59 in Vereeniging, 90 storage units and a factory in Nigel, a prime retail centre with excellent tenants on the corner of Louis Botha avenue opposite Balfour Park, and many more.
