Located 70 kilometres north of Mokopane and 60 kilometres west of Seshego at the corner of the D19 and R551 roads, the centre is ideally positioned for the 94 000 people from 69 villages in and around Tibani who generally have to travel extensive distances for basic shopping conveniences.
Having started the earthworks during October 2017 the building is already a quarter of the way towards completion. Gerald Dros, MD of GMI is satisfied thus far with the work of Skinner Construction for executing the project on schedule. The cornerstone of this particular development is the partnership with local community leaders. By granting GMI a lease to the land it benefits the community with respective job opportunities and supply chain services.
Anchored by Shoprite and Cashbuild with a variety of fashion stores including Pep, Ackermans, Tekkie Town and Jet. A good mix of furniture and financial services have also committed to the centre. KFC, Debonairs and The Original Fish and Chips CO offer diversity of food and drink options to customers. There is also a lot of excitement about Ringa Café becoming the new social hub at the food court where customers can relax and enjoy themselves. In addition an Engen filling station will be developed at the entrance to complete the full offering. Retail Network Services (RNS) continue to tenant the centre and aim to have it fully occupied by opening.
Plans are already a foot for the grand opening on 30 August 2018 where 48 new stores are set to thrill customers.
