We are looking for an experienced, dynamic leader to spearhead the growth of Spire Property Broking on a national level.  Spire Property Broking is a relatively new division of the well-established Spire Property Solutions, and is rapidly making inroads in the three major metropolitan regions. The person we are looking for will inspire, manage and grow our team of brokers to conclude leasing and investment deals, and to introduce new business to the group. Reporting to the MD, the person will be responsible for the performance and growth of the broking business in our three regional offices, and will need to travel nationally.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Management and motivation of the broker teams in Cape Town, Gauteng and KZN. This includes holding them accountable, reviewing their performance, and coaching them.
  • Setting targets
  • Assisting the teams to achieve their sales targets
  • Regular performance management
  1. Identifying and generating leads for the team and self 
  2. Assisting brokers in concluding and closing deals
  3. Providing mentorship and training
  4. Recruiting and onboarding new brokers
  5. Liaison with outside brokers to develop collaborative deals
  6. Forecasting, analyzing and reporting of sales
  7. Ensuring the maintenance and effectiveness of the CRM system  
  8. Marketing the Broker division: newsletters, boards, website, etc
  9. Assist with the development of an advisory business for tenants
  10. Research and develop value-add professional services beyond letting and sales.
  11. Look for new business opportunities and seek to expand the management footprint of the business.

Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of the following:

  • At least 5 years’ direct sales experience with demonstrated ability to close deals
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a national sales manager
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data base management
  • A good network in property industry
  • A good track record of people management and leadership
