Murray & Roberts Western Cape have moved on site to start construction of a R1billion mixed-use development in the Bridgeways precinct in Century City.

Century City is undergoing a R4.3bn development boom, which will expand the live, work, stay, shop and play hub by 25%.

The third and final phase of Central Park, an 18 000 square metre low rise office park situated around a village green at Century City, is nearing completion.

More than a year ahead of completion, buyers have snapped up 105 of the 140 Ashton Park Century City apartments, a new residential development by the Rabie Property Group.

Grosvenor Square, a new sectional title office park aimed at small to medium size owner occupiers and tenants, is being launched at Century City by Rabie Property Group to meet ongoing demand in the burgeoning precinct.

Construction of Quays, a vibrant new commercial node comprising 39 low rise studio offices and a TriBakery restaurant in the heart of Century City, has been completed.

Soaring demand for hotel accommodation in Century City in recent years has increased the average annual occupancy to 73% necessitating additional hotel rooms be brought on stream, says Greg Deans, a director of Rabie Property Group, the developers of Century City.

Philip Morris South Africa (PMSA) has relocated its Southern and Central Africa Head Office to a new "green" building, No 3 Bridgeways, at Century City which has been developed by the Rabie Property Group.

Construction has commenced on the first phase of the new Bridge Park development at Century City in Cape Town.

Murray & Roberts Western Cape have been handed over the site in the Bridgeways precinct at Century City on which they are to build the R450million Bridge Park development for joint venture partners Growthpoint Properties and Rabie Property Group.
