Ms. Linda De Beer, BAcc, BAcc Hons, M.Com (Tax), CA SA, served as the Financial Director at BEE private investment holding company. Ms. de Beer served as an Audit and Tax Manager at KPMG.

She joined the School of Accountancy at the University of Pretoria and then the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and served as its Senior Executive Standards until 2007. She has been Chair of The Consultative Advisory Group at International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board since September 2010. She served as a Deputy Chairman at Afgri Limited and its Non-Executive & Independent Director since 2009.

Ms. De Beer, has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of Royal Bafokeng Platinum Limited since June 1, 2010 and Hospitality Property Fund Limited since August 17, 2011. She has been Independent Non-Executive Director of Sasfin Holdings Limited since July 1, 2014. She has been Independent Non-Executive Director at Sasfin Bank Limited since July 01, 2014. She chairs the Consultative Advisory Group of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board.

Ms. de Beer is involved in directorship development and training programmes for the Institute of Directors of Southern Africa. She is financial reporting and corporate governance advisor and part-time professor at the School of Accountancy at the University of the Witwatersrand. She is a Member of the King Committee on Corporate Governance in South Africa. She serves on the Committee for Auditing Standards of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors in South Africa. She is Visiting Professor in Financial Accounting at the University of the Witwatersrand. She is a Lecturer and Professor in Accounting and Tax at SAICA. She is an Independent Financial Reporting and Corporate Governance Advisor/Specialist.

She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991.

Ms. de Beer holds MCom (Tax).
