While economic conditions remain challenging, Redefine Properties (JSE: RDF) continues to align its strategy to long-term trends and proactively manage liquidity through the recycling of non-core assets.

Vukile Property Fund today reported 7.5% growth in dividends to 78.1 cents per share for its half-year to 30 September 2018, which is well in line with its full-year guidance.

JSE specialist shopping centre REIT, Hyprop, continued delivering strong growth in a tough economy with a total dividend per share of 756,5 cents for the year to June 2018, which was 8,8% higher than last year.

Gemgrow has acquired, an effective economic interest of 95% in Moolgem, which comprises largely of a retail portfolio, totalling 26 properties in the Limpopo region, for approximately R628m, yielding 11.48%.

“Spear’s assets under ownership of its core portfolio have increased 117% since the start of the 2018 financial year. The strong performance of the core portfolio stands testament to the value investing nature of management and ability to actively manage assets that generate yield-enhancing returns for shareholders” – CEO Mike Flax.

Rebosis Property Fund, the JSE’s first listed black-managed REIT, sustained solid distribution growth for the half-year ended 28 February 2018. 

Operating conditions may remain challenging but JSE-listed diversified Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Redefine Properties (JSE: RDF) continues to execute long-term strategic thinking and efficient management of its property portfolio to deliver sustained returns and value.
