Atterbury Europe is a new company incorporated in the Netherlands that focuses on shopping centre investments and retail development opportunities in Europe, particularly the nascent eastern European region.

The massive 131 000 m² Mall of Africa is scheduled to open in April 2016.

Atterbury Property today launched Richmond Park - a new multi-billion rand mixed-use property development in Cape Town on a prime greenfields site in Milnerton adjacent to the N7 highway – in its biggest and most ambitious project yet in the Western Cape.

When complete the building is expected to be valued at around R225 million.

Attacq Limited posted a 5.1% growth in net asset value per share (“NAVPS”) for the six-months to 31 December 2014 and 20.8% growth in NAVPS for the full year compared to December 2013.

Louis van der Watt

Mr. Louis L. S. van der Watt, CA(SA), ACMA serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Atterbury Holdings at Atterbury Property Developments (Pty) Ltd.

Mr. Van der Watt serves as Group Chief Executive Officer of Atterbury Property Holdings. He co-founded Atterbury Property, one of the biggest property developers in South Africa in 1994. Mr. Van der Watt Founded Attacq Limited in 1994 and has been its Executive Director since January 1997. Mr. Van der Watt serves as Executive Director of Atterbury IH Ltd., Executive Director of AttfundLouis, and one of the founding director of Atterbury.

He has been a Non-Executive Director of Hyprop Investments Limited since September 1, 2011. In 2009, he received the Christo Wiese Medal for outstanding Entrepreneurship from the South African Academy for Science and Arts. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992.

Mr. Van der Watt completed his articles in the management consulting division of Deloitte & Touche and obtained his CIMA qualification shortly afterwards.
